Happy New Years all you wonderful weirdos! We are excited to announce our first special event of the year is going to be a trans/non binary focused chess tournament and craft night. Chess/gaming has long been a valuable tool for building community and we want to start 2024 by celebrating that and creating an inclusive space for all. We will be collaborating with the amazing Prism Games, Craft Nite Collective, and Chicago Chess Foundation to make this one of a kind event happen.

Competive speed chess/mentorship provided by chicago chess foundation with special prizes for competing!

Checkerboard themed crafts including block printing and draw your own chess board provided by Craft Nite Collective /The Artistic Alphabet Mafia

Snacks/non alcoholic drinks as well as nametags will be provided by organizers

Covid-19 Safety: Masks are to be worn when not eating and being fully Covid vaccinated is a requirement for attendance

Please note that this is a queer community focused event, while allies are welcome the safety of the LGBT attendees will take priority. Hate speech of any kind will not be tolerated at this event and any reports of such can/will result in violators being banned from future events.
